Symbolically adopting a wild Hooded Plover at Phillip Island means you are an official Hooded Plover guardian. Hooded Plover guardians contribute to securing a brighter future for these threatened shorebirds by supporting scientific research and conservation efforts.

You will receive a digital adoption pack containing:

- Quarterly Newsletter to discover how your donation has helped

* Please note: Gift adoptions are emailed immediately to the recipient. If you would prefer to keep it a surprise and to print and wrap the adoption certificate for a special day, please include your gift recipient’s name instead of your own and do not tick the 'gift adoption' option. Is my adoption tax deductible?

The Penguin Foundation holds a Deductible Gift Recipient status and all contributions are fully tax-deductible.

How do I gift an adoption?

Simply select the species you would like to adopt and make sure to tick the 'is this a gift?' option. If you would like your gift to be sent to your gift recipient, please tick that option in the form, otherwise, the gift will be sent to your email address.
